I put in a claim; they sent a technician; he ordered a part. They told me it would take 12 weeks to get the part. The part never came; the 12 weeks came and went. I sent several emails and no one responded and I cannot find a phone number anywhere; and my bed is still broken. I feel like they stole my money and they are not living up to the warranty.

Worthless warranty

In 2015, I purchased 2 couches and a Uniter's Pure Balance warranty. The salesperson said it covered everything. A year and a half later, both couches started peeling. The warranty did not cover it. Surprise! Now, because of the peeling, the customer service manager said the new damage cannot be covered. Surprise! This "warranty" is a TOTAL waste of time, paper, and money!! And the customer service reps are worthless! Wtf Wtf

I too bought this furniture plan from JC Penny. Person who sold us the furniture said this was a great company and would cover everything with no problems.

Our recliner arms started peeling. Opened a claim and was told this was not covered.

Sales rep at Pennys really made this sound like an ideal plan. This is a worthless company just out for your money.

Bought 2 couches and the Uniters Pure Balance warranty. TOTAL waste of money!! Couches started peeling a year and a half after purchase and because of the peeling, Uniters doesn't cover anything else!! This warranty is an absolute waste of time, paper, and money!!! On top of the *** warranty, their customer service reps are worthless, which only aggravates you more. The only thing pure about this warranty is it's pure BS!!

We have attempted to make a claim with Pure Promise, only to get the runaround via ourselves as well as with help from the American Signature store's customer service.

When filing a claim, the link they send you doesn't work so you can't send pictures and you can't actually get help. Even the manager of the store had problems.

Explain to me how, if you didn't have a computer or a cell phone in order to file a claim, how would you?

Also, it appears this company is a scam and doesn't want to fix any problems claimed for.

If that is the case, how can you stay in business.

Shame on you!!!!! People spend good hard-earned money to buy a product and get the warranty for anything acceptably wrong with it but when you go to file a claim, all you get is a claim number and nothing else after that.

I will be reaching out to the media and the corporate office for assistance in this matter.

Unsolved case

I bought a chair from JC Penny's and the 5 year Uniters Warranty no claim no worries in April 2014. The policy states no claim get credit back for amount paid. I am waiting for my credit.

I bought a sofa and a love seat and the frame separated on the arms for both pieces and on all arms. This is not my issue its a manufacture issue and covered by this warranty and when I submitted the claim I was within one day emailed that its not covered. I want to bring a class action against this company and anyone that wants to do the same please contact me here and I will respond with my email for further legal action against this company. Most class actions put fraud companies like this out of business but not before they pay a heavy price for there fraud.

I would also join you in a class action as I also had my claim denied. JC Penny sales person said they would cover everything with no problem and it was a good plan to have.

So untrue.

I purchased a TV stand/fire place at Value City, my grandchildren scratched to top surface of the stand. A technician was sent out (waste of time) he stated that, since it was laminated it couldn’t be repaired (so what the *** did I pay a warranty for extra money in their pockets). Called customer service a few days later, and they stated the same thing. Now I was told since they could not fix it either I was going to be replaced with another one, or I was going to get a credit (still nothing). So today 12/3/18, I called customer service back to check on the status and I was told by (Michelle customer service representatives) that my claim was denied because of the scratches that they can’t fixed. THE BOTTOM LINE IS THAT, THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM AND I WILL DEFINITELY MAKE SURE THAT I SPREAD THE WORD TO EVERYONE I KNOW......STAY THE *** AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY, FIND ONE THAT IS LEGITIMATE!! NEVER EVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!

I purchased two identical sofas from Value City. Both sofas have the same issue. All cushion casings are separating at the seams and Uniters denied the claim calling it a manufacturer defect even though the plan clearly states that seam separation is covered. I will never buy another protection plan backed by them. What a rip off. I will also never buy anything else from Value City Furniture or any Amrican Signature owned store.

Do not waste your money —- awful customer service and nothing is covered. For couches seating area is considered everything and they say that cracking and peeling are not included although stated in their pamphlet and salesperson sold me on it. Claim filed claim rejected even after dispute for multiple issues. Save your money.

Purchased a leather sofa & chair with the Pure Balance protection, I was told everything would be covered if there was ever a problem. Very wrong. About 2 years the arm rests began peeling was told it wasn't covered. Then yesterday an accident put a tear in the back of the sofa, not covered!

September 1, 2018 We contacted UnitersPure regarding their warranty for the couch I bought at ASF in 2013. The seating areas and Arms are peeling and flaking off. They denied the claim stating the warranty did not apply to the seating areas which is completely false. The five claimed items listed on their warranty to be covered (1) Effective 7 years from delivery of new furniture (2) All accidental stains (3) Rips, tears or burns (4) Cracking or Peeling of Top Grain Leather in seating areas (5) Cracking or Peeling of All leather, leather-touch, Bicast, Bonded, & Vinyl in Non-seating areas. The warranty cost 104.99 according to the original receipt which I still have along with the Leather warranty information that ASF gave me at the time of purchase. Recommend NOT to buy.

I purchased the Pure balance plan for my table.. I was told anything ... scratches, gouges, marks, etc. would be repaired under this plan. Within a year, I called about some minor scratches.. was told they weren't "bad" enough and would not be covered. Because they were minor, I let it go. Fast forward several years (but well within the 5 years of the warranty) I have a large mark on table, finish was taken off...They sent a person out to take pics, next day I received email saying they would not cover. They used excuse of accumulation of scratches. But it is obvious the spot I'm calling about is one incident.. I sent dispute letter, which was a waste of time. I received letter stating they denied claim due to accumulation of marks, even though I was claiming for 1 mark. Now I will have to pay out of pocket more than 500.00 to get it repaired. I've since seen a lot of other people that have not been paid by this company. Appears to be a complete waste of money. I would NEVER buy from this company again.

I purchased an extended warranty for my leather sectional I purchased from Baer's they fell it to you like it's the best thing in the world. Working with Uniters has been a nightmare, I have been waiting for almost 3 months for a piece of wiring to come in, every time I call they are rude and unhelpful.

I will never pay for a useless warranty again. If the part I need is not in in the 12 week window (ridiculous amount of time to wait) Baer's is going to have to give me a brand new sectional leather sofa like they said they would according to the warranty.

Purchased two leather recliners from Value City Furniture 9/24/2016. Purchased also 5 yr Protection Essentials for Fabric, Leather, and Hard Surfaces... Recliners are both have peeling leather, blistering leather, leather removed from seat if on recliner....Total run around...call Uniters, No call Value City Furniture, referred back to Uniters, No it's the manufacturers problem... I had a leather sectional that was discoloring badly. Something had to have been spilled with realizing it.

The brochure shows coverage for bodily fluids, pet stains, accidental spills etc. The tech came out and in his "expert" opinion it was an accumulation of hair oil. If you have that much hair oil you need to clean yourself. They said if I had called as soon as it happened it would be covered.

I asked how would I know to call if I didn't see anything. They explained again that if it's an accumulation it may not show up immediately but an accumulation of anything is not covered. So I asked this question, if someone sweaty sat on the couch and a stain showed up several days later would that be covered. They said no because I didn't call right away.

Again, how do you report something you don't see. Bottom line it was not covered.

We ended up with a store credit where we purchased it but did not receive credit for the warranty that we purchased. Very disappointed.
